SEO Background
I jumped into SEO headfirst. Late 2008, I was a copy editor, and my boss approached two of my co-workers and me, and told us that he wanted to start selling SEO. In a few months we learned everything we could, and created an SEO department that successfully ranked websites and dodged the subsequent Panda and Penguin updates.
Since then, I’ve worked on single page sites, and sites with as many as a million indexable pages. I’ve worked at agencies large and small, and in-house on multi-year projects. This journey has resulted in proficiency in a wide variety of marketing and development tools, and deep technical expertise. Although my educational background and early SEO expertise were very content-focused, I’ve carved a niche in the technical world. I’ve even built tools to help evaluate technical issues.
Utah Business SEO Focus
I’m currently based in Utah because I love the outdoors. My primary focus is SEO for small businesses in Salt Lake City, mostly for logistical reasons. But if your business is online, then I can grow it wherever you are.

SEO Training Passion
Before getting into marketing, I was a teacher. My passion for growing things is second only to my passion for learning. This is why I offer SEO training. As much as I’d love to get my hands dirty and work on your site, it’s just as rewarding for me to teach someone else a new skill and watch you fly on your own.
